I've had pierced ears for almost 50 ( and I'm only 29) years but I'm bored. Thought about a few other piercings-got one but ill not tell where. Anyway, granddaughter came over yesterday with tapers so now I want. I'm starting out so what size would you suggest and keep mind ears aren't that young as far as earrings in format years. Sound nutty? Perhaps. Want tapers? You bet!

Well it really depends. The starting size is 18G but if your ear is a bit stretched already you could probably use a 14G.
