I don't have near enought credits to bid on the whole role, but would love to get 5 of them -- we have coin collections going four ourselves and our children. If you have any singles you are willing to part with we would greatly appreciate to be considered!

Thanks for the great auction listing!

Stupid pennies... I'm glad that roll was cancelled... only... 5000000 more rolls to go! NOOO! ='(

Sorry, I have a grudge against pennies. I touchdown slam them when i get them back as change, such a waste of copper and zinc in my opinion lmao.

Great for collecting, but horrible for pocket change! XD

I do wish I could get my hands on half the stuff you have.

There were 20.000 rolls from this ceremony release. This is a story I heard along time ago. These was an old man that threw all of his pennies in the back of an odl pickup truck and when they cashed them in there was like $20.000 in change. I think that is what it was? Please don't hate the pennies.....LOL

2009 Lincoln Cent Professional Life Design
The third reverse design for 2009 Lincoln Cents represents Lincoln’s professional life spent in Illinois. Chronologically, this would cover the years of his life from 1830 to 1861.

The reverse depicts a young professional Abraham Lincoln standing before the Illinois State Capitol building. The motto “E Pluribus Unum” and the words “United States of America” and “One Cent” are included. The designer of the reverse is Joel Iskowitz and the sculptor is Don Everhart. The post office stamp for the cancellation was desinged by Charles R. Taylor.

The Professional Life Cent was released on August 13, 2009. The official launch ceremony was held in Springfield, Illinois at the State Capitol building which is depicted on the coin. About 3,000 people attended the ceremony which was presented by US Mint Director Edmund Moy. A total of 20,000 rolls of the new pennies were exchanged following the ceremony.
