The listing, netgear wireless router has ended.

This router has cd with it and has free shipping. I cannot figure out how to use it with my computer. It may not work with cable internet unsure.

i have a cord that it can plug into a usb port. You hook it up to your modem and then to your computer either in the Ethernet port (the one thats a little bigger than a phone line) or the usb. I will include that if needed. If you have wi-fi the signal will pick it up. Like i said i can't get it to work.

Yes, it will hook into a modem so you can use your internet wireless... mainly for laptops and newer computers

I am using a wireless modem from Cricket. Can I plug the modem into the router and use WiFi on the laptop and run an Ethernet cable into my DVR? I am trying to keep the laptop free while streaming videos from Netflix at the same time.

i dont see why not. If your DVR has the port. It has 4 spaces for wires to be placed in the back.
