This is an elegant genuine white Akoya pearl necklace that is hand knotted. The pearls are "AAA" grade. The luster of the pearls can't adequately be shown in photographs. The clasp is solid 14k yellow gold, not plated or filled, and is stamped (please see photo). The pearl strand measures 18". This would make the perfect gift to give to your daughter or granddaughter the day before their wedding. Imagine their surprise! Or perhaps, you'd rather get it for yourself for an upcoming summer occasion? These are not lightweight, as plastic "faux" pearls are; this strand weighs 1.49oz. I bought these for my daughter, who got married in March. They arrived 2 days AFTER her wedding day :( I would really like to see these go to someone for a really special occasion, as they ARE elegant beyond words.
