If that number is engraved into the metal it is "supposedly" Sterling Silver and I wrote it that way because a lot of. 925 marked items are cheap and from China and are in fact, fake. That is why they sell so many and for so cheap on Ebay. You really have to take it to a jeweler to really know for sure unless you bought it from an reputable store/company. Lovely auction, btw
