I have a Garmin GPS 5 personal navigator that has never been used. I paid over $300 for it. It is the deluxe package with:

Yes, as the title states it is a Gramin GPS. We never used this one but I know that it has a cd that you would need to run . It runs for 25 hours on 4 AA batteries. Has 19 MB. It gives you turn by turn directions, Point of interest listings for the area, Trip computer, fishing information and you can get more from optional Mapsource cds. It has a built in celestial tables for best times to fish or hunt. It weighs 9 oz.

I did not hear about that. All I know is when I bought it for my husband I got it at a Carbella (sp) and it was considered high end.

how old is this and do you know if it can be used for topo maps for hunting

it has a celestial mapping for hunting or fishing. It is about 5 years ago when I purchased it. On the box it states that it does have topo maps for fishing and other information. My husband is a dirt biker and he rides in the mountain areas and forest areas. He wanted it to make sure he could always find his way out again. It is really a good gps.
