The same way you would a card except the cashier has to manually enter the number and pin rather than scanning the bar code. I have used cards like this from KMART which I won on this site

Yes it is but you don't get the physical card. You will get the code and pin. I have gotten Kmart cards on Listia which were digital and used them in store with out much issue
