UPDATE:
Last we heard locally about TIA (from neighbors where TIA went missing) is that a man lives in the very Apartment Complex where TIA was "lost" that "Trains" Pit Bulls. He is KNOWN to repeatedly horde stray dogs & cats in his apartment & then they suddenly are gone;never to be heard or seen again. Needless to say,we are frantic with worry about our TIA! I myself knocked on this guy's door , not yet knowing this (the day after TIA disappeared) only to get no response at the door while hearing a dog that sounded just like TIA barking inside his apartment (along with NUMEROUS other dogs!) I returned a day later to canvas the neighborhood again, knocked on this guy's door, only to hear one or two dogs barking from inside his apartment, none of which sounded like TIA at that point!
And yes,I have repeatedly reported this first hand occurrence & my concern to the Humane Society AND our County Animal Care & Control Center, only to run into a "legal" brick wall from the County facility who says their hands are tied as this guy (and others like him) are protected by the law until they are actually "CAUGHT IN THE ACT" of using our dog (or said dogs) "as bait" to train Pit Bulls!
Seems to me their is a big gap between protecting animals from abuse & reasonable cause to investigate such accusations & the LAW needs to change for the better;especially when you can repeatedly hear NUMEROUS dogs barking in his guys apartment one day, and hardly none the next! Please help us keep positive vibes & Prayers going out for TIA! Thank You!

Update:
tia is finally re-hydrated! she was like a shriveled up prune when we found her after her 2 1/2 weeks out in searing sun. the burns on her pads have healed up quite well, however..her limp has worsened, so it's off to the vet on monday to see what is causing her lameness.

keep the good vibes going for all the lost, panicked, and frightened, pets out there!!!

thank you!

I'm so happy for you and Tia, please say a few prayers for my "Baby" my sweet grey striped tabby with a tiny tan dot on top of her head, she's been missing about a month now. Someone called 2 weeks ago and said they saw her, but I'm not sure if maybe they are playing games with me. I think the same person called before when another cat I had was missing a year or so ago. I help strays and take them in, some people don't like it . I am not a hoarder, I do find them new homes, if the group gets too big(I have five "regulars" now. One I had for fifteen years! And she was probably 5 yrs when I got her! ) . I don't know who the lady is that called me , or where she lives, she just told me where to look , but my Baby wasn't there and I've checked everyday for 2 weeks. I put signs up and so far she is the only person who called(It's a small town too like George's there are only two main roads, in four weeks if she was out loose, someone else would have seen her ,too , I'd think as she'd be looking for me and her own mother who is still here with us.) Keep close tabs on your pets, there are bad people out there, that is for sure!!

Thank You so much! Even if you live in the country I now highly recommend all owners to be sure to get a Rabies shot & Rabies tag put on a collar for all their pets. (The Rabies tag has an ID # on it) PLUS get all pets micro chipped.A Microchip Alert tag goes on their collar along with the Rabies Tag. That is the best protection to loosing them forever....lol.

Aug 20th, 2013 at 11:51:51 AM PDT by

Not hollow. Weighs approximately 1-2 lbs.
I will check for you but not yet today... but if you go to USPS.com they have postal rates you can approximate. Just Enter my zip Code 85710 & your Zip Code, click on medium package & check all the rates. For Standard Shipping Rates click on "other" shipping options and go from there. By the way,I always go with the LOWEST rate to ship items and always add on tracking # for my buyers. Hope this helps. I can check tomorrow if you'd like...

The idiots that do this to ANY animal need to be put into a ring together and forced to fight to the death, in my opinion! The laws need to be changed as you said, they need to be much harsher punishments for this!

TIA to vet today. She has a slight limp but vet says nothing broken...most likely a muscle pull or strain/sprain. Tia also started sneezing and having discharge from her eyes. Turns out no glaucoma or eye disease, but conjunctivitis and the vet gave me antibiotic ointment to put in both eyes. Tia also has blood tests coming back in about a week or so. Vet strongly suspicious that she is diabetic. Found out Tia clawed, bit, and dug herself out of somewhere while she was missing for two & a half weeks! Her two bottom middle teeth are completely broken off! Roots are still in the gums and vet says those have to come out or infection will set in.
Pray I win PCH or something guys! Really need to get more things done for TIA...
just started! lol! Thanks everyone! KEEP THE GOOD VIBES GOING FOR ALL THE LOST PETS STILL OUT THERE!
