The listing, Dr. Seuss Horton Hatches the Egg c. 1940 has ended.

Nice old hardcover book with dust jacket. The book is in really good shape. The dust jacket is rough. The last 3 photos shows the dust jacket. All pages inside the book are in great condition with no rips, tears or stains. No writing and pages are tight. The edges and corners of book are worn a bit. Not sure which printing this is. I do not know how to tell. It says copyright 1940, but does not state first edition so I assume it is not. I do know that the copyright was renewed in 1968, so that means this book was printed before that. The book is 8 1/4 inches wide and 11 1/4 inches tall.

I love this book! It's one of my favoirites of all time and a great gift for new parents of biological or adopted children. It puts a "face" on the "nature or nurture" debate. ;Thanks for listing this classic. I will definately be watching. I have two teenage grandchildren, two elementary school age grandsons and two grandbabes born last year. . and, of course, a big lot of adult friends and family who could use some healthy advice a loving parent like Horton can give.
