I am so happy I found this recipe – this cornbread is insanely good. It doesn’t have too much cornmeal in it, so it comes out more like a grainy bread, but the cheese and the jalapenos and the beer make it extraordinary. I couldn’t recommend this bread more, you really should try it.

I don’t have my cast iron skillet here with me, so I baked this in a spring-form pan. It got very crispy on the sides and top, and I can only imagine how great it would have been in my cast iron – if you have a good, seasoned skillet, use it.
