I'm disabled, too, so I know what you mean. I don't go out on those type of trips for that very reason. It just wipes me out physically and mentally. Lapis Lazuli is a semi-precious stone that is deep, dark blue and sometimes has gold flecks in it, too. If you ever run across anything like that, hang onto it. It is getting extremely harder and harder to find. At the time these bracelets with the brass banding were made, though, it was used quite a bit. I think I got my in Jade in the late 70s or early 80s from my husband. I, too, at that time, didn't know what Jadite or Lapis was, so when I came up with some Lapis Lazuli later on in my antiquing life, I feel in love. It feels smooth and cool and reminds you of porcelain the way it feels. That's why I asked the question. I think the enameling on these flowers is unusual, too. You don't see that often in good shape. Usually it's wearing off or has been knocked off during wearing. Good luck with your auction. Come check my listings. I'm always looking for new Fs & Watchers. Thanks for writing back. I was terribly afraid I had offended you and that wasn't my intention at all.

No you did not offend me. That is hard to do. I have found there is a lot of touchy folks on listia, mostly from many bad experiences from listia. so I try to work it out which back fired on me one time. Never ever give constructive criticism. In the end it got me a negative score.
I'm to exhausted to look at bracelet closely to see if I can see what your talking about. I'll get back to you on that. I just spent half the night preparing packages for mailing and then saw the surgeon today. I'm getting ready for two knee replacements.
TY again for sharing your info, which is always welcome and constructive criticisms too. Kim :-)

Are you sure this is porcelain. I have one almost just like it and it is lapis lazuli with hand-painted flowers. So, I was just checking to make sure it was porcelain. Interested, so F & W. Please reciprocate. I'm trying for my next fan badge. Thank you.

You must not have read my detail about bracelet. Because I stated I DO NOT KNOW if it is porcelain but it appears to be a porcelain paint look. I did list as porcelain bracelet however that was only to attract attention to auction. I'm sorry if you never got around to reading auction and misunderstood my intention. I had no other way I could figure out how to explain what the bracelet was made of.

My dear, I DID READ THE DESCRIPTION. I was simply trying to boost lookers for you because it might be Lapis Lazuli. That would make it a very expensive and hard to find bracelet. Don't worry, though, you will never have to hear from me again. Please excuse me.

I have no idea what a lapis lazuli is! I was not up set at you I was extremely exhausted when I read my listia emails last night. I just came home from a 3 day camping trip. I used capital letters only to show how I had listed. If you were trying to help me out that is great! If you were complaining that is ok too! I think we are having a misunderstanding. I'm disabled physically and it wipes me out on trips but it is good for me too, the exercise. & please your welcome any time, I'll visit U 2 Kim

Oh, I forgot to tell you that if those flowers are surrounded by brass or silver, it might be something called cloisonné. I couldn't tell from the pictures if the flowers and design were lined or not. I hope they are.

Cloisonne is what my first thought was. Kim when you get a chance if you could take some clearer pics that would be great because we really can't see the details on it and I think it will also help with bids if you can get a clearer pic, love ya Donna

I will try I just e-mailed the lady earlier I think she is right because it does have like a gold or brass around the flowers. It is very pretty and in good condition. Has no worn spots like she mentioned. I wish there was markings to be able to tell.

It is cloisonne. I collect them. I only have 100+. I would really like to add this one to the crew. Have a great evening! Thanks
