The listing, MYSTERIOUS PIECE I FOUND AT AN ESTATE SALE! MUST SEE! has ended.

I foun this mysterious piece at an estae sale, not sure what it is but the lady said that there was a man who stopped by and told her to hang on to it because it had value, has markings on the bottom, has a triple triangle and symbols, its shiny black and has symbols all over the top, if you have any idea of what it is .. please feel free to share! It has some chipping on the underside of rim!

I'm not sure, where there is chipping on back rim, I see no metal, everyone here says they think its glass!

F&W!!! And same as above...what is it made of...glass, right, since you say it has some chipping??? I have been around antiques all my life and I have never seen a piece like this! It seems to be shaped like an ash-tray???? The markings are different??? Now I am going to have to find out what it is!!!LOL!!!Or I will not sleep!

Thank you so much! It does look like an ashtray but doesnt have slots for cigarettes, my friend says its glass when she looked at it! I cant tell feels like glass when you tap it! We have been trying to research it to! :) Thank you I will keep trying!:)

hold it to the light..does it turn color? bright light and see if you can see thru it..sun would be perfect..

Marcy I just tried it in the light... couldnt see anything, I know your supose to see purple, but you need good sunlight, the sun is just starting to set, so I will try it tomorrow and tell you what I see! :)

This is definately a unique item, I can see a hint of purple when I look in the sun, when I look real close in it, I can see my eye and eyelashes, it really has a shine! The design is something I've never seen before, where it is chipped under rim you can see the layers of glass! I have been having fun with this! :)
