totaly an easy and inexpensive fix, with ebays help it can be fixed for just a few $ and ability to know how to work a screwdriver. deffinately watching this 1. btw the fat model would be 1000, easy way to find out is look at the bottom (what could be considered the bottom if u hold it with the screen faceing u head on) it should say 1001 if its indeed an original fat model.

It will be printed on the mem card, Could be as small as a 32mb up to a 16gb if its a sony duo. . Do you know where the mem card is located in the psp?

I fix them Bridget, trying assess if this one is worth fix or use as parts. I want ones I can fix, as someone pointed it out, screen arent that expensive for these, no touch screen.But it not always worth it when I get good working ones for $40, what kills you one these are mem cards and batteries. But what I do with them when they are working ones is way more fun than fixing them. The one I play with has around 46gbs and I invested in a battery that could play over 30 hours on, but it broke first all night use. .Beware of cheap china batteries, even if you buy hm from someone in the states, I spent more time charging it than I used it. Talk to me Bridget, they cheap too ship, if its bricked I can fix you right up and we can talk about A doc psp hook up...lol..I can play a n64 zelda game on mine and all the pokemon games...basically the psp is still the coolest handheld. My vita is awesome, but I play with the psp more

Question, was the stick and directional pad working good? that is the parts I need to get my first gen psp back to aces. I like the feel of the fat model, but forget about it being any good at wi/fi. but great for playing you buds in rooms together, the ease of multiplayer is great. Evertone here at the house has one.I would grab one and hang on to it, these are going to become very hard to find real soon.
