This is a brand new Brookstone Boogie Board. It behaves kind of like Etch-A-Sketch, only much easier. You can erase your marks with a push of a button. You write with a stylus like a longer version of the ones from the old Palm Pilots.

Anyway it's pretty cool. It's maybe a little less cool and pedestrian then getting a tablet PC, but there are two big obvious uses for this. 1. Art. 2. Leaving notes for your family members in the kitchen. Anyway when I tried out another one of these, the technology is slightly better then my expectations.

Note too, this is a pretty inexpensive item (look it up :-). This would make a pretty good child's or mother's Christmas gift.

I'm certain the Brookstone branded version in this lot is identical to the one made by Improv Electronics advertised in the website. They use the same images in the advertising.
