THIS IS AN EXQUISITE, LUSTROUS 12 X14mm (nearly 1.5 inch across and 1.5 inch long) Genuine Black Tahitian South Sea pearl set in a stamped solid 14K yellow gold cap and bale. Pendant, including the bale is 3/4 of an inch in length. The shape is baroque and the nacre is thick. The pearl has a highly lustrous peacock iridescent color of green, bronze and light magenta with a silken glow. The myriad of flashing colors are natural and the pearl does not have any enhancements. This stunning Tahitian black pearl is simply beautiful and elegant. I unfortunately do not have a chain for it. Took it to my jeweler and he said that this was an AA grade pearl and estimated it was worth roughly between 400 and 600 dollars. Quick story: My friend went to the South Sea Islands about 20 years and brought this back for me as a gift. But we unfortunately had a falling out. he didn't want the pearl back. This has been sitting in my jewelery box since then. Never worn.
