Description

The listing, VINTAGE COPPER CROSS old Antique metal detector find SEE has ended.

This auction is for a vintage cross that I found with a metal detector many years ago.

It is rather large (about 2 1/4" tall) and appears to be made of copper.

The site that I was metal detecting was an old house site....guessing that the house was around 60-80 years old...I'm guessing.
There were a few silver coins, one large copper Large Cent coin, a ring....and this old cross in a very rusted cigarette tin.

A neat old item and a nice addition to your antique collection, jewelry box, or to wear.

A VERY INTERESTING PIECE!!

Nice! Are there any etching or marks on it? It appears to show some "swirling" or a Silver Color on the Front? Any Green, that old copper shows? What is the thickness/or is it a mid-weight piece? Thanks

the lighter color is just tarnish/corrosion from the copper I think...yes, it does seem to have some sort of a pattern or uneveness on the front surface

Nice cache find! I'm still detecting for that allusive "treasure chest". Hit on five mid 1800s coins around a tree once

sorry everyone...been busy..no marks that I remember seeing stamped on it (already packaged it up)...the lighter color on the front is just some copper greenish tarnish/corrosion I think...this isn't thin by any means...but not super thick either...average thickness I suppose?
