Questions & Comments
Hey man, I already own this so won't be bidding, but huge fan of KOTH so had to click on it and comment. This is a great show people, if you've never seen it do yourself a favor and bid on this so you can check it out. One of the funniest and most original shows on network TV, well actually any channel, within the past 25 years. Shame it's no longer on the air with new episodes!
It's an absolute disgrace how FOX has refused to release seasons 7 thru 13 of King of the Hill on either DVD or Blu Ray! And, moreover, the manner in which FOX cancelled KOTH was completely disgraceful and unprofessional.
i agree with you rchrhds29..KOTH is one of my all time faves i have em all also and i got this one so cheep so i can share it with my listian peeps..they need to put out 7-13..i think its not rite that they wont..i mean c-mon simpsons has what 21 seasons..i rather watch KOTH n-e day n-e ways..dont get me wrong i love the simpsons also but i just think its not fair that they dont release the rest of them..
Definitely agree it's unfair and completely disrespectful to their viewers for Fox to refuse to release seasons 7-13 of KOTH
However, man, your dead wrong about 'The Simpsons'. Fox has actually only released on DVD: The Simpsons: Seasons 1 - 15 & Season 20. Meaning FOX is making 'The Simpsons' virtually the only show on any network not to have it's most recent season released on DVD the year after it airs, and have done this for four seasons! Seasons 21 - 24. While at the same time having four older seasons, 16 - 19, also unreleased. That makes eight seasons that FOX is behind for it's DVD releases for 'The Simpsons'. My guess is that FOX will make the ultimate slap in the face by never catching up and that they will not ever release every single season on DVD and / or Blu Ray. A little FYI to anybody to why this is the ultimate slap in the face, here is a quote from Fox's Wikipedia page: "The network's first program was a late-night talk show, The Late Show, which debuted on October 9, 1986 with Joan Rivers as host."
And here is another one, this one from 'The Simpsons Wikipedia page: "Since its debut on December 17, 1989, the show has broadcast 530 episodes and the twenty-fourth season ended on May 19, 2013. The Simpsons is the longest-running American sitcom, the longest-running American animated program, and in 2009 it surpassed Gunsmoke as the longest-running American primetime, scripted television series."
So if you do the math in the entire lifetime of the FOX network there have only been three years in which 'The Simpsons' was not part of the FOX primetime lineup.
Season 15 was released last December and Fox has yet to announce a release date for Season 16,
While Season 20 was released in 2010, and I believe this was the first time any show ever released a 20th season on DVD, since 'The Simpsons' is the longest running show in the history of both the comedy and animation genres, and FOX treated us fans to absolutely ZERO special features! Oh, LOL, I forgot, there is that 3 minute long "20th Anniversary Special Sneak Peek by Morgan Spurlock"! WOW thanks Fox!
If FOX had an ounce of class they would show more respect to the show that made their damn network!
