yes its real. and i hate spiders so i really dont kno what kind of spider it is. i got it like 6+ yrs ago when i was young and now im freaked out by it to be honest lol. i kno the pix sucked im sorry, but i can tell you theres a really pretty design on the part that opens. hope this helped!
