What do you think about Blu-ray? I've heard good things about it but I can't make up my mind. You can play reg DVD's on a Blu-ray player too right?

yes, you can play regular dvd's on a blu ray player. If you don't have an HDTV it is not going to make much of a difference. If you do, you WILL see a difference. Some movies more than others. our blu ray player upconverts regular dvd's really well, so if it's just a normal non actionish movie we don't worry about upgrading, unless we get a good bargain on blu rays. some are actually cheaper than buying the DVD. Disney movies come with a dvd copy, so we have both for in the house and in the van. The one movie on blu ray that I noticed an awesome difference with was blazing saddles, believe it or not!! And the Dark Knight, a~ma~zing!! on blu ray!!

no problem! If you are getting an HDTV and have the funds, blu ray is a good upgrade, because of the fact that it plays regular dvds too...
