They will do BEAUTIFULLY! I lived in Tucson when my youngest son (now 20!) was born, and had them growing all along the north and east fences in the backyard! I'd helped my mother to grow them while growing up in Phoenix from 1970 - 1980s, and they are STILL growing in the yard of my mother's (now my sister's) house! It comes back beautifully and faithfully each year, and self-seeds, too! Give it some afternoon shade and a good watering twice a week once established, and you'll have years of enjoyment!
