Yes they are. I also include gift basket ideas as bonus which has even more gift jar recipes. I love it. I will use it this year for Christmas gifts.

Sorry to be a pest, but I've got another question. I love doing the cake/bread mixes in jars, but never heard of them "baked in a jar" (like some of the ones on your list). Does this mean they're actually baked in the jar somehow? Sounds like a cool idea, but I'm having trouble picturing how it would work (i.e. how do you get the cooked bread/cake *out* of the jar). Thanks! :) :)

Here is the ending of the recipe:
As soon as cake is done, remove from oven one at a time, wipe rims of jars and put
on lid and ring. Jars will seal as cakes cool. Place the jars on the counter and
listen for them to "ping" as they seal. If you miss the "ping", wait until they are
completely cool and press on the top of the lid. If it doesn't move at all, it's
sealed.
Unsealed jars should be eaten or kept in refrigerator for up to a week. Sealed jars
can be stored with other canned food for up to a year.

Thanks for the info! I was thinking it'd have to be straight-sided jars, but doing it in 8 small ones was something I hadn't considered (duh!). Sounds pretty interesting! :)
