It starts at August 21 and the game is released at September 10 so in between there unless you have the closed beta

Just a heads-up to anyone interested in using the GIN... This code will not become active until 8/21/2013... So if the code is entered prior to the Beta's launch in that day, you will receive a message stating that the "code is invalid"... Please, have no fear... The code will activate and you will have access to the Beta come the 21st...
