after posting I noticed the buckle was turned under...It is fine, no defect in buckle at all...sorry....now go bid...lol
I don't understand what you mean by "and the battery was gone" in your description ?? Does that mean when you opened it, it was missing the battery and you do not really know if the watch runs ?? Thanks Pretty sure it's gonna go little bit over 100, nice watch.
yes it was missing when i opened it.... it belonged to my dad and as far as i know it was running but that was over 12 years ago... so I can not in all honesty say I know it will run.... i know you can go on line and ffind this watch and see it is an expensive watch and would be worth the few credits itt will cost you to get it fixed...I myself just won a mickey mouse watch that didn't run here on Listia... took it to the watch fixer guy and he fixed it for ten bucks.... and I paid way more credits than this one is so far going for....jojo from texas
hello again- The last thing I want to do is badger you. I think it is very generous of you to list this watch. With that said, I think you are under valuing your watch. Also I recently had a broken L L Bean quartz watch serviced and it cost me well over $100. They can just replace the works on a Mickey Mouse watch for $5, not the situation with a good watch like this. And with all that said, I'm still in this game !! I hope your watch goes high, I think it will, but hope not too high for me. With all respect. Thanks again, Cary
I'm guessing it won't really need any fixing... it ran last time my dad wore it..He passed away 12 years ago and it's just sitting here..I guess he took out the battery to replace it and never got around to it...anyway...I don't want to miss rep myself on this because I just don't know without a battery ... I figurred i was low balling the estimated price... i know its expensive...and i also know that omega is part of the swatch company if i'm not mistaken.... so if you go looking it up look under vintage omega and vintage swatch watches...i think it dates back to teh early 80's.... thanks for all your comments...
Is went looking last night and the cheapest omega i found was 995.00 ...most of them were about 2000.00 wow.... I knew they were expensive but even i didn't know they were that expensive....now i wish i could bid on it and sell it....LOL live and learn i should have done my homework on this one...oh well.... see 200.00 is expensive to me...I would never have dreamed my dad would pay that much for a watch....later gator....jojo
This is a wonderful item. Good luck with this!! I wish I had enough credits to bid. I'll bid and I'll be watching. But like someone said earlier, I'll probably get outbid. =/
But you sound like a really genuinely sweet person. I haven't seen many nice people on Listia. I wish you the best of luck with this auction and others to come!!
Thank you big tilme....your very sweet to say that...its been a pleasure talking to you...Merry Christmas and I hope you and yours have a great New Year....jojo from texas
