My 4 year old had one and it did the same thing but it was just the picture screen. We thought it wasn't coming on but it was you might want to get someone to look at it and see what they say!!!

just stopped working tho? no drop or squishing it in a pocket or carrying it in a pocket you are prone to hitting against counters frequently or anything like dropping it in water? just curious because it is odd that a ds "just stopped working"....just sayin'

No drop, no nothing...I am not a chi;d, nor has a child played with it, I picked it up to play one day and ...nothing. If I could explain it maybe I could fix it in which case I'd keep it LOL

if its not that old have u ever thought of maybe returning it for a replacement i live in a small town too but it might b worth the drive if u still have receipt just a suggestion but n e ways best of luck to u
