The listing, Occupied Japan Chalk Wall Figurine / Dutch Boy has ended.

WONDERFUL VINTAGE OCCUPIED JAPAN YAMAHA DUTCH BOY WALL PLAQUE. Clearly marked, this measures 5''H and 3.5''W.

Following World War II, 1945 and until 1952, items imported from Japan to the United States had to be marked in a fashion indicating they came from Occupied Japan. Only the the words "occupied japan" guarantee the pieces were made in the Occupied Japan time frame.
