The listing, Vintage Whiting & Davis Mesh Purse has ended.

This auction is for a vintage Whiting & Davis mesh bag in black and silver. There is only minor wear on a few of the black discs. The lining is in perfect condition with a makers tag attached. The metal trim is also marked with the Whiting & Davis logo. Measurements of the purse are 8 1/2" by 5". Chain length hanging is around 15 1/2".

As a collector I feel that this is an exceptionally nice evening bag. I 'm sure some of you will understand when I say I just have too much STUFF and I'm trying to downsize, so that is why this is up for auction.

Very nice purse. I collect this type and this one looks too nice to be vintage. Do you know how old it is? I need to get more credits to bid, going to try! Fanned and definitely watching

Thanks! This was sold to me as being older then it is. I believe it's probably '60's or '70's. But even for that age it is in great condition. Probably packed away and brought out for special occasions. The reason I use the word vintage is just me adapting to the world of online auctions. I always considered vintage as being very old. Apparently in the world of auctions it's anything used.
