The listing, Butterfly Bush Seeds has ended.

I believe these "orange beauties" are trumpet vines. Whatever they are -- they are splendid !! They are bright orange trumpet shaped flowers that attract lots of butterflies, bees and hummingbirds . Their beautiful green glossy foliage stays attractive all year and the flowers appear in the fall and bloom continuously and profusely through the winter here in north central FL with no care required. Blooms COVER the bushes with a spectacular show of color. Height can be controlled by pruning or let them grow tall for a beautiful natural barrier as shown in pic #1 above. Seeds will be shipped in pods picked this past spring. Each pod contains an estimated 30-50 seeds and I will ship at least 3 pods so you will have plenty to get your own plants growing.

Questions & Comments

i have never taken note of lenght of time to mature into a bush as I have just let mine drop their seeds & plant themselves. They do seem to be very fast growing though. You might want to try starting them in a pot until they become well established if heat is a factor. I know its hard for small startings to hold enough water when planted in the ground in warmer climates. Once established I don't believe the heat will bother them because we often get 90+ temps here in FL too. Not sure how well they'll bloom as they do bloom here during the cooler weather of fall & winter.But even if not - they do have beautiful glossy foilage & exhitit different shades of green as new leaves come on.
