Description

The listing, 1978 Commodore LED Scientific Calculator has ended.

This is a rare 1978 Commodore Compute e2 scientific calculator. It was only made in 1978.It is in very good condition. I took a picture with all eights on the display to show that all the LED's are in working order. Some of the pics show "tall, stretched out" numbers. They are not, look at picture number four. It is the only one I got at the perfect angle. That is because it is hard to get a perfect straight-on picture. You have to be at the perfect angle to take a picture. I am not a photographer. It works great. uses a 9 volt battery. It does have an external power outlet, but I never had the power adapter for it, it was optional. Here are the specs on it:

HP-35 has reverse Polish notation - I was never sure how significant that was (or what it even meant), but it was supposed to be pretty spiffy! ha-ha

Reverse Polish Notation is so cool in the early days of electronic pocket calculators.

I do not remember where I bought it from. I have had this a long time, along with the rest of my calculator collection.

I've got a TI-1250 (1975) that is still in the original suede zippered case. Depending on how this goes I "might" part with it, or maybe not. :-) That HP-35 is a good looking calculator.

If this does well, I'm hauling my old HP-35 out of storage where it's been for the past 30 years. Omigod - I've lived so long my things are collector items! LOL!!

I had this exact one when I was a kid. If I remember right...this was around 299.00. I could be wrong...but that number seems to be right.

They were definitely expense back then. I could never have afforded one. Now you can pick up a good scientific calculator for twenty-thirty dollars.
