Condition:
Used in Good condition with some signs of previous use.
The screen is bright and clear, no dead pixels. Battery does not hold charge. **NEEDS TO BE REPLACED** AND 'DC OUTLET" NEEDS TO BE TIGHTEN. Besides the 2 little problems, computer was tested and works perfect.

Laptop can be upgraded with little money and make it a faster machine.

Well, Is just sitting in the house doing nothing, besides of just collecting dust....!!!!
My wife an I have our own computers.....Thats used to be my daugthers computer but she is at Sigonella, US Navy Base in Italy and will be there for the next 3 years.
Just wanna give it away to someone that will need it.......It feels good help people this way.......!!!!!!!!

why does the computer in first picture look different from the computer on the last picture. are the images reversed..and did you remove some of the stickers on it.. thanks..

Picture #1 is recente picture, it has the sticker for the windows XP that is loaded on this laptop recently (before it was auctioned). Picture # 3 is a prior picture when I posted on ebay to sale it (about 3 or 4 months ago).
Hope that explains your concerns about the pictures.
Trust me,the laptop it is in a better condition that the pictures shows.
Im trying to give away godd stuff A++ quality. like everyone of the other auctins that i have posted.

Sorry at this moment cant tell you that information, Im not at home, but i believe if you go by the computer model you will be able to find the type of battery that the laptop uses.

Compaq is a brand that you will be able to find lots of after market parts (batteries, RAM memories, and so...)
It is easy to find them and with a little investment you can have a very powerful laptop, instead of buying a new one on the market for at least $ 900 and sometimes way over than that...!!!!!
If you need additional storage capacity, you can always buy one of those external memories sold on the market a 500 Gb for $40.00. Target and Walmart have them on sale now (Western Digital, My Passport).
This is the perfect laptop for someone who need one at school, college or at home.
Hope this have clarified a bit more about this laptop.

Yes it does, but in order to have it working "perfect" does need a new battery and the powerjack resoldered. With the adecuate soldering tools you will be able to do it at home..

It comes with the "System Recovery CD" I believe the Windows XP is part of the recovery CD.

yes it does, but sometimes you need to hold the cable agains the power jack to make it work. Definetly it needs to be resoldered in order to work with no problem at all.
