These seeds will produce a profusion of bright scarlet flowers. Brilliant red pedals that are usually outlined in black. This plant grows quickly, blooms heavily and dies with the first frost. It can regrow the following spring if the seed falls on bare ground. Once established, it can tolerate immense heat and extremely dry conditions. They bloom in profusion and are best admired if planted in masses. Plants require very little care once established. They do not transplant well.

Direct sow in spring after danger of frost has passed into prepared beds that have been cleared of weeds and the top 1" of soil loosened. Rake seeds into soil. Press into soil. Keep moist until germination.
