Just want to make sure on this. This is a CD-RW/DVD hybrid drive correct? It can Read both CD and DVDs but can only write to CD-R/RW?

I have added a 3rd pic, not the best sorry. the tag reads CD-RW/DVD DRIVE SM-352. It is a class 1 laser product and a class B digital apparatus. the FCC ID is RWASM352. The face in the 2nd pic reads "compact disk rewritable ultra speed" that is all i know. there may be more info on the Toshiba Samsung web site? hope this helps. thanks for looking

Alright, thank you very much. It is as I thought, a hybrid. It will read DVDs but it can only write to CD-R/RWs.

In this case it is a good thing if you just want to read DVDs and not burn them.
