This is NOT a Coin. You should be careful to what you list this as.....George Washington did not appear on a coin till 1932. this is some kind of token, perhaps a modern made piece. Tokens are usually undocumented concerning their origin so it may be impossible to discover more info on them.

I am sorry my 14 year old grandson mistakenly called this a coin. You are right, a coin is "A small piece of metal usually flat and circular authorized by a government for use as money."

Front of coin has a picture of george washington and his name and the dates 1732-1932. on reverse it has the following "presented by the city of new yorkgeorge washington bicenntinnal commission commerating new york city's tribute to the father of our country 1732-1932. it is a n oxtogon shaped coin.
