Looks like a bamboo or corn but this is a reed grass with broadly variegated sword-like leaves; plant with a root barrier to help contain this spreader; tie canes to wall or stake to prevent movement in the wind;use as backdrop
This ornamental grass should only be grown in full sunlight. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist growing conditions, but will not tolerate any standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments, and will benefit from being planted in a relatively sheltered location.
