The listing, 1881 Book: Ancient Literature; Oriental and Classical by J. D. Quackenbos has ended.
I just realized this book is older than any human being. That's pretty amazing and the condition of the book is pretty amazing as well for it's age. There are no ripped or torn pages, but there is page discoloration and condensation damage and the spine is slightly frayed at the top and bottom. Still has great ink and the book is accompanied with engravings and colored maps. Has an eye-opening map at the beginning of the book that shows the Aryan Mother Tongue and from there the languages branch out to Celtic, Greco/Italic, Slavic/Teutonic, Indie, and Iranic. From there it branches out again and from there again and then finally the English language.
