No it does not require Steam, Origins, or anything else. It's a standalone game with its own launcher.

O.k,I only asked because I saw it on the steam store and I wasn't sure. Good to know because that's the thing I hate abt most pc games is they requires steam.

If you buy something off steam, Yes it needs it. All steam is, is basically online storage for your digital downloads. Since this is a physical disc, Steam is not needed.

Physical discs do need it sometimes,in fact almost every modern physical game for pc requires steam authorization and steam cd key code to play.

That is true, but only if you want to play it through steam. Unless the game says requires steam, then yes it will come with a steam key. If it doesn't require steam your free to install it. And only games that say powered by steam, for instance counter strike or possibly portal, then its needed.

Almost every pc game says requires steam/powered by steam btw,in fact I haven't found a single game from the last year on pc that doesn't require steam.
