Description

The listing, 4 O'Clock Seeds has ended.

I am offering 25, 4 O'Clock Seeds. These are realy remarkable plants, some of the things that I have learned from growing and researching them are that the flower can change color from year to year? and that the Four o'clock plants are used to make dyes with. The seeds of the four o'clock can be used to make cosmetics. The four o'clock is also used to make a crimson colored food dye to dye foods like cakes and icings. Last year I had Pink, White, Yellow and a Hot pink flowers and this year they are Hot pink with 1 bush of Yellow.(these photos are stock photos, my camera battery wasn't charged so will add more pic's later) In warmer climates they will spread and can become invasive if not kept in check, in colder climates they say you have to plant yearly but I have had mine in the same spot for 4-5 years and have never had to replant? They are deer resistant, Butterflies and Humming Birds are attracted to them as are Japanese Beetles, which is a fatal attraction because when the Japanese Beetle ingests them it kills the pesty varmits, which I consider a huge plus. The seeds resemble pepper grains and are extremely poisonous, they can cause vomiting and diarrhea and, in large quantities, death.

These are such cool plants, once they bloom and the bloom fades be sure to watch for the seeds, and you will have tons. I love collecting seeds of all kinds such fun watching them grow.
