Can be used in any computer (desktop or laptop) as soonest you have a USB Port to connect it.

You have to have internet signal in order to conect to the internet.
This WiFi card gets any internet signal where you are authorized to log in to..

It will work with any router on a homenetwork system, you just need to download the software for that.

In order to connect to your internet provider trough a WiFi card, you must have a Wireless router wich is the device that emits signals to your wifi.
You need to have the basic knowledge in how to install a homenetwork system tough. It will be very difficult explain to you trough here, but basically thats how it works......

there is only two pieces........The wifi card that can be connected to a USB port by it self or trough the base wich has a cord (2 ft long) and a USB plug as well......can beconnected both ways.

It is a very sensitive electronic, so you can not "just mail it" into anything, sorry.....!!!!!
