The listing, (2) VINTAGE 50s Glass SWIZZLE STIX / STICKS Drink Stirrers has ended.
Up for bid are two glass swizzle stix / sticks or drink stirrers. Both are in great condition. Probably from the 1940s or 50s.
They tended to roll around on my scanner top, but I think you can see most of what's on them.
**For Dependable Power ~ Continental Aircraft Engines (green lettering which doesn't show up well in scan)
This company has been in business since the 1930s, so I have no idea how old this particular swizzle stick is, but it was with the other so guessing they might be about the same age.
and...
**Kelley's Grill ~ 145 &147 West 4th Street, Williamsport, Pa.
We Recommend and Serve ~ Three Feathers Whiskies (paper ad enclosed in the glass stirrer)
This particular establishment was still in operation in the late 1940s, but the Kelly's Grill of the present is located in a different place (a couple of blocks down the same street). Looking over old records, sometimes it was spelled Kelley, and sometimes it was spelled Kelly (newspaper items, so could be miss-spellings). And I don't see anything since the late 40s for this address.
If you collect old drink items, these might fit right into your collection!
