Replica of a vintage tonette. Comes with an instruction booklet with 50 tunes.
The tonette debuted in 1938 and was designed as a pre-band instrument similar to todays recorders. By 1941 over half of the grammer schools in the US used this item as a standard pre-band instrument.

LOL....neato..! I remember these, but the school would only order the plain recorders. I remember getting mine in 4th grade.....and uh....I'm 45 yrs old now....lol. I have tried to throw the thing away many a times, but never could, always remembered the long practice hours and then in my grade made the special group to put on a Christmas show incorporated into the whole elementary program.....so there is many great memories. I wonder if I still remember how to play it...? First I have to find it...lol.
