7.62 x 39 is the ammo for my sks

I looked it up and it should fit the mags because the m1 uses 30-06 rounds and there longer then the 7.62 so if any thing the mag would be loose in the mag belt witch isn't necessarily a bad thing

it will not hold a stripper clip of sks ammo. i own an sks and one of these belts. the clips that held garand ammo were not stripper clips so the pouches are smaller. a US 30 caliber bandolier will hold sks stripper clips. thats how i store mine
