They're made with worsted weight acrylic yarn.

This was made in a smoke free home, but I do have pets.

I'm not sure the exact brand, but I got it at Hancock Fabrics and its a sock weight yarn. I'll probably be going there tomorrow and I can find the name and brand for you.
