A lot of people ask me what a starter Reborn is?
A starter reborn is a childs play doll that was painted using reborn air dry paints. Any reborn is not safe around children under 12 because they could rip the doll apart and eat or choke the polly pellets. Starter reborns use plastic polly pellets instead of fine glass beads because fine glass beads are powdery and plastic pellets are much bigger. Parents use starter reborns to see how their children will take care of the baby before they spend hundreds on a real reborn. It is the safer and cheaper way to go. The arms and legs are jointed on this doll but I couldn't get them off. You really have to use a lot of stregth to rip the head off so this doll is pretty safe for light play. After I weighted the body I sealed it with hot glue.

It's painted in several layers of paint including veining, flesh color, warm blushing, dark blushing on cheeks, nose, eye lids, bottoms of feet and hands and finger and toe joints, darker nail and lip color, off white nail tipping, creases painted, gloss look on nails, lips, nostriles and eye edges. The head and body has been weighted with poly pellets that were secured in a tied nylon bag and the baby was also stuffed with polly fill. There is a magnet inside the head for a magnetic hair bow (included). I couldn't root her because the material was to thick. I took a small snip of brown mohair and glued it to a white bow with a magnet. I painted the indentations of her head brown to look like thin hair.

Baby will come with her dress she is wearing, her white hospital band with her reborn info. on, and the removable magnetic bow with a her snip of brown hair. Slight flaw: small blue dot on 1 hand "birth mark"
