Vintage metal locking handle folding paper hand painted watercolor of Golf Finches on branches of pretty red poppies - Chinese round FAN. Folds and locks to almost 6 inches long. Stamped by maker in Shanghai with English spelling errors! Fan spreads to about 10 inches. Great for a purse or auto, for those hot sweats or just a hot day. In excellent condition for the age. With a metal handle and locking ability, it's pretty sturdy too. Please see all 3 pictures and enlarge for details.

This is hand painted? I have some similar to this and the design is printed on the paper....

I can't tell really, looks like hand water color and ID stamped by the factory making it, and it could be hand made, China did so much by hand and not too long ago. I'd go either way on this one.
