I sprouted these date seeds by soaking them in water for 7 weeks (changing the water daily) and then keeping them in the dark and rinsing daily. You'll get 10 seeds with roots poking out. Some roots are longer than others. I'm planning to grow some as potted plants. If you live in the right climate (zones 9-11) you can grow them outside -- and possibly get fruit though it's not standard to start date trees from seed - pls read here for info http://www.gardeningblog.net/how-to-grow/dates/If you win, please send me your shipping info right away so I can mail these to you asap.
