The listing, Hand Painted Peach/Gold Lusterware Nippon Porcelain Plates for your Teapot;Marked -Victorian Estate has ended.
Hand Painted Peach Luster or Gold Lusterware Nippon Porcelain Tea Set Plates for your Teapot – Marked; from Victorian Estate.
Marked “Nippon” ( in Japanese symbols): A beautiful set of Japanese Geisha Girl & Cherry Blossom porcelain cookie or cake plates from a farmhouse estate settlement that is over 150 years old. I have included a picture of the farm house in the auction pictures and will turn over the name of the family to the winner.
These have an early Nippon mark and were made in Nippon "Japan". Mid 20th century, 1930s (before WWII). You can find this mark on the Gotheborg Japanese Porcelain Marks website. The finish is refered to as “Peach or Gold Lusterware”porcelain with hand painted details. Gorgeous mirror finish; Not worn – not even on the edges and no utensil marks - apparently was a family heirloom that has been carefully stored in a china cabinet for nearly a century.
Can be used for serving cookies or snack cakes with your favorite teapot from Japan or Nippon, or to hang on the wall or display in a cabinet. There are 5 plates and one saucer that would make an excellent teabag trivet or cup-plate while serving snacks with the other plates.
