To be honest with you, I think it is. I have checked it for markings of the metal merit, and I can not find anything on it to indicate that it is real.

But it still is a pretty necklace, especially for those who wont have an irritation to it. I have also been told that those with sensitive skin can coat the fake stuff with a clear nail polish, to both preserve the luster of the metal longer and reduce/ or even completely take away the skin irritation entirely. Honestly, due to the fact that the cross alone is made up of mainly glass pearls, I would guess that it is a female necklace.
