Here is a 1948 uncirculated Franklin Half Dollar that has been certified MS64FBL by PCGS. It has nice mint luster with a strong strike. It has an overall light golden tint on both sides. The obverse has a darker area at about the 5 o'clock position, mainly through the letters "TR" in TRUST and up into the trunk of Franklin's bust. The reverse has an area of slight discoloration at the corresponding location to the obverse stain. It is approximately at the 11:30 position, but much smaller and lighter in color. Collector's Universe(PCGS) lists this date at $68.00 in MS64FBL and $140.00 in MS65FBL. This was the first year fro the Franklin series. This date also has the 3rd lowest mintage in the entire series(3,006,814), only behind the 1955 and the 1953.
