The listing, St. Peregrine Medal, Patron Saint of Cancer Victims has ended.
Auction is for a St. Peregrine medal, silver tone. This is a small medal, measuring only 1/2" tall & 3/8" wide. No chain.
A very condensed story of St. Peregrine is this: At age 60, he developed cancer in his right leg. The doctor was going to amputate it the following morning. Peregrine prayed to Christ that night and when he awoke, the cancer was gone and his leg was saved. He was canonized a saint on
Dec. 27th, 1726, and has been named the Patron Saint of those suffering from cancer.
Unfortunately, we've all been touched by cancer in some way. I had never heard of there being a patron saint of cancer sufferers. I did some web surfing and found these, and I am sharing them with my LISTIA friends, because I know your lives have all been touched by cancer too.
I wish you all good health!
