Antique Porcelain Cake Platter: Edelweiss on Pink Luster "Courtship" Plate, Roses, 14k Gold, Beehive Mark.

A bright white solid porcelain Courting Couple cake platter or large plate with Edelweiss flowers in pink luster, there are hand painted coloration or details on the flowers and other parts of the transferware and it was signed by the factory artist “L. Cole”. There are 14k gold details all around a courting couple in a rose garden done in soft pastels. The back is marked with a Beehive mark and says “COURTSHIP”. Would look beautiful with similar porcelain: Royal Vienna, French Limoges, Fragonard, or German pottery. The pink lusterware is not worn at all and is a little brighter in person. No wear to the gold, Not worn, and no utensil marks at all - apparently was a family heirloom that has been carefully stored in a china cabinet for decades.

Measures: 10 1/2 inches across the whole platter.

Condition:
Beautiful condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing – a mold mark on the face is from the kiln stand used in the obsolete method of stacking porcelain in layers inside the old bottle kilns for firing that is glazed over and is not a chip - no damages.
