Description

The listing, Seeds for beautiful Southern Magnolia Tree has ended.

Southern magnolias are an old southern classic here in Alabama (it's not ALL pine trees here!). These trees are huge and beautifully shaped - the leaves are shiny and very dark green, very thick and papery feeling. The blooms are huge white flowers with a wonderful fragrance that fills the whole yard. In the fall, the flowers turn into weird little cones which produce bright red seeds.

These seeds are from my mother's Southern Magnolia tree from last year - she collects the bright red seeds and dries them and gave me some to share with you! As you can see from the picture, the color of the seeds changes after drying. You are bidding on five of these seeds - and you better have a pretty big yard to grow five of these trees!

I would advise soaking the seeds overnight, then starting them in large pots, and transplanting small saplings later. Plus, you could share extras with friends that way!

You can go online to check out more details about this tree - the official name is magnolia grandiflora, commonly called Southern magnolia.
